Butch Clothing Company

Not entirely sure of the right place to put this - but saw this in the paper today and thought it may be of interest to some:

(I'm in no way connected to the company, not advertising or plugging it... just sharing what I saw).

Re: Butch Clothing Company

Interesting but it sounds as though they are making it easy for themselves - you have to go to them with the concept and then they tailor it to your measurements? Anyone who knows how to sew can do that. We have often bought retro suits and had them altered to fit, although quite often they fit beautifully anyway. I am not sure how the business would sustain itself long term on the basis that I understand. They appear to be planning a selection based upon orders as they are produced. If I am missing something tell me? I do wish there was a butch line of clothing available that had selections pre- thought of and directly catering to butches. Ultimately if they manage it good on them.

Re: Butch Clothing Company

There's lots of butch clothing stores - they're called "menswear shops"

Re: Butch Clothing Company

Problem is Denise, mens' clothing isn't cut to fit the female shape. I reckon it's a good idea, and wish them a lot of good luck, but I think that offering a ready to wear range would be a plus. Most of my clothes shopping is on demand, so if what I'm after isn't there ready to go, I move onto another store.

What you say is very true Dayne. I was just trying to be funny hehehe

I actually think it a great idea. And its not just dykes that like good quality, practical clothes for woman either so market is sizeable.
